Terms + Conditions

I hereby engage Composed Living, Inc. to provide professional organizing services. Composed Living, Inc. agrees to provide such services upon agreement of our policies as stated below.

PAYMENT POLICY

  • Our rate is $185 per hour. Each assistant organizer is an additional $75 per hour. 

  • Our hourly rate includes all time spent performing the following services: Hands-on organizing, staging, packing & unpacking, decorating, planning, research, shopping, and coordinating donation drop-offs.

  • All work is billed in 15 minute increments.

  • Client is responsible for any costs related to parking (excluding parking tickets!)

  • Any time spent waiting for the client while organizers are onsite will be included in the billable time; this includes time spent waiting for client to arrive at the start of the session, or time spent waiting for client to review prior to ending the session

  • Payment for services and materials is expected at the end of each session (unless you have pre-paid). If you have a credit card on file, we will charge it after each session.

  •  We accept payment in the form of cash, Venmo, Paypal, debit card, ACH, or credit card (phew, that’s a lot!) Payment by credit card will incur a 3% processing fee; to avoid this processing fee, you are welcome to pay by check, cash, Venmo, or Zelle.

SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT

We value the safety and security of our team members immensely. If we arrive onsite and discover any unsafe working conditions, including but not limited to rodents, poisonous insects, or mold, we may choose to leave the premises. You will be charged for the full day rate. We will reschedule your session after the situation has been professionally remediated.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We hold all client communications and information, both verbal and written, in the strictest of confidence, and will not share your information. We are happy to sign an NDA if requested.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We respect your time, and we know that you respect ours. We aim to provide our team with fair, considerate employment conditions and as such, we do everything we can to ensure that their time is treated as valuable and is compensated. In order to show our respect for their time, we have the following cancellation and rescheduling policies.

  • Please give 72 hours’ notice by phone or email when canceling or rescheduling an appointment

  • Cancellations and/or rescheduling within 48 hours are subject to a $350 cancellation fee, at the sole discretion of Composed Living

  • Cancellations within 24 hours are billed a $750 fee to allow us to fully compensate our team and avoid lost wages

DONATIONS

  • Composed Living will make every effort to remove all unwanted items during the organizing session. We will gladly help you to arrange for pickup of any items that cannot fit into our vehicles.

  • We deliver items directly to our non-profit for donation to area organizations (a list can be found here), based on their current needs. Anything that cannot be donated to our partners will be given to those in need throughout the community via our local Buy Nothing Groups.

  • We cannot return any unwanted items to you; once they have been donated they are out of our hands (literally).

  • Please let us know up front if you require a donation receipt. This is only possible if your items are able to be donated to a charitable partner.

  • We responsibly recycle everything, such as batteries, old paint, worn out textiles, and construction materials.

  • We will make concerted efforts to ensure that nothing ends up in a landfill, unless that is truly the only place for it.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONSENT & RELEASE FORM

Client grants permission to Composed Living, Inc. representatives, to take and use: photographs, videos and/or digital images of the project for use in marketing materials, news releases and/or educational materials. These materials might include printed or electronic publications, social media sites, web sites or other electronic communications. Client authorizes the use of these images without compensation. All negatives, prints, digital reproductions shall be the property of Composed Living, Inc. No personal or identifying information will be shared on any platform.

We always post images to social media anonymously, but if you would like to be tagged, please share your Instagram handle below. You are welcome to post or share anything that you choose to - we love seeing our clients share their excitement! (Please tag us @composed_living if you do!)
