4 Of Our Favorite Kitchen and Pantry Organization Projects

It is so rewarding to transform someone’s space and provide them with sustainable solutions to allow their family ease when trying to use or find something in their homes. We decided to throw it back to 4 of our favorite kitchen organization projects from our earlier years.

Kitchen and pantries are some of our favorite and most important rooms to get organized!

Today, we will be rounding up 4 of our favorite kitchen and pantry organization projects! Our overall goal is always to create logical stations so that everyone in the household knows where to find whatever they're looking for - and those stations are different for each household. For example, some of stations we love are: coffee + tea, smoothies, supplements, baking, snacks, back stock.

Kitchen #1 : Move In - Pantry Containment

We helped this client move into their new home. We unpacked everything they had, and left a few of our favorite baskets and storage containers as placeholders in their pantry so that everything was ready for them to go grocery shopping. Two years later, we went back for a touch-up and added a bit more containment to help keep them organized!

Kitchen #2 : Our Favorite Products

Another great move in project for our client! For move ins, we bring a variety of our favorite kitchen and pantry products so that we are prepared for anything! Some products we use in almost every kitchen and pantry: bamboo drawer dividers, bamboo utensil organizers, large acrylic divided turntables, hyacinth baskets, bamboo or acacia turntables, and the large acrylic can riser from TCS (Home Edit). Kitchen #3 : Decanting Is Preventative!

Our client had a moth problem, so we cleaned out the entire pantry, wiped everything down, tossed all expired food, and decanted to prevent moths from returning. We also created a better system with categories, including labeling an acrylic divided turntable with expiration dates so that she new which food to eat first. TIP: If you find that food keeps going bad before you get to it, create an ‘eat first’ section! This works well with snacks for kids too!

See some photos of their completed move-in below!

Kitchen #4 : Dual-Purpose Kitchens

Sometimes a kitchen plays many roles besides just a place to eat! For this client, we organized both the kitchen and pantry. This included a kids' art station, a gifting station, as well as household decor and cookbooks.

For the classic "junk drawer" we are trying to rebrand them as "household drawers" so people won't be inclined to just throw all their junk in it and close the drawer. We suggest using bamboo drawer inserts (Seville Classics is a good brand) and filling the drawer with various sizes so that each item has a dedicated space, looks tidy, and things are easy to find when you need them.
