This adorable bedroom belongs to 6 & 8 year old brothers. They share the same love of sports and creating art, but definitely needed some easier solutions for storing their craft materials and finished projects. The built in bookcases provide optimal storage for each child, so we just needed to make it easier for the boys to figure out where to put things. This transformation took place in less than 2 hours!
Budget & Resources
- $0 budget for supplies
- 4 small eye screws, bakers twine, & small clothespins found in the home. These were used to create hanging space for artwork.
- Organize art station
- Create more art hanging space
- Style bookcase shelves
- Organize toys in cabinets
We used an IKEA kitchen rail and plastic containers to separate art supplies by category, and installed some legal size plastic holders to store their craft paper. We found some small eye screws and twine in the garage, which was used to create an easy art gallery for each boy - perfect way to decorate the walls and so easy for them to swap out their designs!
